Hurricane Factory Berlin Team Puts Shovels in the Ground

Hurricane Factory Berlin RenderingOn Monday, July 20th 2015 the Hurricane Factory team officially put a shovel in the ground in Berlin, Germany. This location will likely be the 3rd Hurricane Factory wind tunnel. The first being Hurricane Factory Prague in the Czech Republic which was followed by Hurricane Factory Tatralandia in Slovakia. There is also plans for another Hurricane Factory location in Madrid which looks to have recently started construction as well. This location neighbors the Berlin Schönefeld Airport which should make for convenient access for visiting skydivers and proflyers.

This wind tunnel is also unique as it joins the ranks of tunnels to feature the largest flight chambers in the world. The chamber measures 5.2m (17 feet) in diameter and 15m (49 feet) tall. There are two of these models already in construction. Fly-In in Belgium and Weembi in France.
