On May 18th, 2016 the 52nd SkyVenture wind tunnel opened to the public. iFLY Sacramento is owned and operated by the corporate, Texas-based company which currently oversees 21 other locations around the USA. This location joins the recent spree of 12 ft tunnels to open around the world.
This tunnel is located in Roseville, California which sits north east of Sacramento along I-80, roughly 18 miles from downtown. This tunnel joins the 3 other California indoor skydiving facilities to open this year, with a 4th on the way in San Diego. This newest Sacramento location is now the furthest north in the state.
Just around the corner the 53rd SkyVenture tunnel is scheduled to open in Lyon, France mid-June. That tunnel is a 14 ft ground floor model as opposed to the 12 ft ground floor model seen here in California. Stay tuned and be sure to subscribe for more industry updates!
